Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: This study investigates the relationships between relationship addiction, suicidal thoughts, emptiness, and emotional clarity, focusing on how emptiness and emotional clarity mediate the link between relationship addiction and suicidal thoughts.A survey was conducted with 400 individuals aged 19 to 39, and data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS 26.0.Results showed that relationship addiction was positively correlated with emptiness and suicidal thoughts and negatively correlated with emotional clarity.Additionally, emptiness and emotional clarity were found to mediate the relationship between relationship addiction and suicidal thoughts sequentially. These findings suggest that addressing emptiness and improving emotional clarity could play a critical role in preventing suicidal thoughts in individuals with relationship addiction. The study emphasizes the importance of understanding the emotional dynamics within relationship addiction and provides a foundation for developing targeted therapeutic strategies.Practical implications for mental health professionals are also discussed, particularly in treating individuals with relationship addiction. The study's limitations are acknowledged, and future research directions are suggested to further explore the emotional processes underlying relationship addiction and suicidal thoughts.By examining the interplay of emotional factors, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of how emotional awareness and emptiness influence mental health in the context of relationship addiction.
