Advancing Dermatologica Sinica: A new chapter of excellence!

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: It is a true honor to assume the role of Chief Editors for Dermatologica Sinica, the official journal of the Taiwanese Dermatological Association and the Taiwanese Society for Investigative Dermatology. We are deeply grateful for the exceptional work of our predecessors, whose contributions have paved the way for the continued growth and academic rigor of our journal, as evidenced by its rising impact factor.[1] Over the next 3 years, we are committed to upholding the tradition of publishing both clinical and academic work of the highest standard. In addition, we plan to introduce special issues that will feature cutting-edge reviews and original articles from both domestic and international speakers who have presented their work at our official meetings. We envision expanding our readership and encouraging submissions from across the globe. To establish standards of patient care in the domestic dermatology community and share our perspectives with the international societies, Dermatologica Sinica also serves as a platform for publishing consensus statements and guidelines on various skin diseases. This issue presents the consensus on the management of alopecia areata,[2] prurigo nodularis,[3] and vitiligo,[4] as discussed by dermatologists in Taiwan. Our goal is for Dermatologica Sinica to serve as a dynamic platform for dermatologists and researchers worldwide, enabling them to share their groundbreaking findings while also providing seasoned professionals with the latest updates in the field. We hope to inspire the next generation of dermatologists to excel in both patient care and academic research. We look forward to collaborating with all those in the dermatological community to further the advancement of our field and bring our journal to a new height.
