Improvement of the functional state of the organism of persons with autism spectrum disorders using adaptive physical culture in a gym

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of the influence of adaptive physical culture on the functional state of persons with autism spectrum during training in the gym. The relevance of the study is due to the insufficient number of scientific and methodological developments on the optimal duration of training and rest intervals for this category of population. The paper analyzes the available scientific works on the topic of adaptive physical culture, which confirm the positive effect of physical exercises on the physical and psychosocial state of persons with autism spectrum. The study included three groups of participants (n=12) who were trained according to different training regimens. The experimental groups used different combinations of the duration of training on simulators and rest intervals. The impact of adaptive physical education was assessed using functional state testing, psychological analysis, and mathematical statistics. The main indicators included blood pressure, heart rate, lung capacity, coordination abilities, level of social adaptation, and psychoemotional state of participants. The results of the study showed that the optimal training regimen was a 15-minute exercise with 5-minute rest breaks, which improved physical performance, the functional state of the respiratory and neuromuscular systems, and reduced the level of psychoemotional stress. On the contrary, excessive physical activity without sufficient time for rest led to negative dynamics of some physiological parameters and an increase in anxiety. The obtained results indicate the need for a rational approach to training planning for people with autism spectrum and can be used to develop effective adaptive physical education programs aimed at improving their physical and psychosocial condition.
