Abstract: The article considers the importance of digital competence in the training of specialists and the work of a teacher, which is understood as the focus of the educational process on the formation and development of a scientific worldview in the study of information technologies and the use of information and communication technologies. The need for constant improvement of the professional training of the teacher of the institution of vocational pre-higher education based on innovative forms of organization of the educational process is indicated. The use of information and communication technologies resources in the field of education in modern conditions of social development is a general necessity. Their implementation in the educational process of educational institutions will ensure a gradual transition of education to a new, high-quality level. They allow the teacher to expand the opportunities to present the necessary information, activate attention, implement process modeling, and implement distance learning technology.
