Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Objective: To determine the relationship between human talent management and job performance in a hospital in Peru, associated with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) "Decent work and economic growth". Theoretical framework: The knowledge and experience of employees is the most important asset of institutions, however, their development is often not prioritized, their performance is not enhanced, and quality goods and services are not guaranteed. Method: The research was basic with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design of cross-section and correlational level. The sample was 77 servers, survey technique and a questionnaire instrument for each variable. Descriptive statistics and inferential analysis were used with Spearman correlation and a significance level less than 0.05. Results and Discussion: The results of the correlation analysis showed a p-value of 0.000 less than 0.05 and a Spearman coefficient of 0.653, determining that human talent management is positively, considerably and significantly correlated with job performance. Implications of the research: Proper management of human talent will improve the work performance of hospital employees. Originality/value: Human talent management and job performance have been little explored in Peruvian hospitals, so its contribution is original, since other research has been carried out in other contexts.
