Abstract: The publication is dedicated to the Doctor of Law, Professor V. M. Gorshenev - in connection with his centennial anniversary. It is emphasized that the scientist is one of the founders of the Law Faculty of P. G. Demidov Yaroslavl State University, recreated in 1970, a prominent representative of the Yaroslavl law School, a brilliant lecturer, and a thoughtful mentor to young scientists. The professor is one of the leading developers of the theory of procedural form and legal process. His works are a source for creative ideas of more than one generation of scientists researching the problems of the general theory of law, administrative, civil, criminal procedure and other branches of legal science.
