Description of Scythris quinquepraedia Garre & Ortiz, sp. nov. from the Iberian Peninsula (Lepidoptera: Scythrididae)

Abstract: A new Scythris species (Lepidoptera: Scythrididae), S. quinquepraedia Garre & Ortiz, sp. nov., is described from the Iberian Peninsula. Male adult and genitalia are illustrated and the genetic distance, based on DNA barcodes are compared against the closely species of pascuella-, punctivittella- and seliniella-group from the public BOLD database.
