Synergistic Effects of Different Organic Manures Sources on Quality Attributes of Ber (Zizyphus mauritiana Lam.) CV. Apple under Sodic Soil Conditions
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The experiment was conducted at Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya in 2021-23 using a Randomized Block Design with nine treatments and three replications. The study aimed to evaluate the synergistic impact of different organic manure sources on and quality of ber (Zizyphus mauritiana Lam.) cv. Apple under sodic soil conditions. Various organic amendments, including farmyard manure (FYM), vermicompost, photosynthetic bacteria (PNSB), Jeevamrit, and Amritpani, were applied in different combinations. Observations were recorded on fruit quality parameters such as fruit length, width, weight, pulp/stone ratio, total soluble solids, acidity, ascorbic acid content, and sugar composition. The findings contribute to understanding the role of organic amendments in improving ber production under sodic soil conditions.
