Abstract: Japan is one of the most volcanic countries in the world, and ensuring the safety of structures against disasters such as volcanic cinder impact is an important issue. Therefore, the safety of evacuation shelters and other structures against volcanic cinder impacts is being verified.Analytical studies on the phenomenon of volcanic cinder impact have been conducted using the finite element method and the difference method. However, the finite element method and difference method use differential quantities in space, which may lead to calculation failures.
