Abstract: A person's inability to see near objects clearly can occur for a number of reasons, including presbyopia.While a person's inability to see distant objects clearly can occur for several reasons, includinghypermetropia, myopia, astigmatism and emmetropia. This research was conducted using descriptivemethod through quantitative approach. The results showed that out of 264 people in Cisarua, Bogorwho received subjective refraction examination were presbyopia (63%), myopia (20%), hypermetropiaaccompanied by presbyopia (6%), emmetropia (2%). In the subjective refractive examination, thedetermination of spectacle lens size for distant vision for hypermetropia patients is based on a concept,namely by providing the largest spherical lens that can produce the best vicus. For myopia, the weakestspherical correction lens is prescribed. For astigmatism, cylinder correction lenses are given. Thedetermination of the size of spectacle lenses for near vision for presbyopia patients with hypermetropiarefractive status is the accumulation of lens diopters for far vision and additions. It can be concludedthat the ultimate goal of subjective refractive examination in presbyopia patients with hypermetropia,myopia and astigmat refractive status is to determine the appropriate lens size, so that glasses madewith this size can function as a visual aid. as well as a description of the state of refractive errors in themountains.
