Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze patient satisfaction with the care provided by health professionals in the maternity sector of the Quelimane General Hospital between 2015 and 2017. The research addresses the central question: how do the hospital's maternity services ensure patient satisfaction? The study aims to identify the factors that contribute to the effectiveness of maternity services, assess the level of patient satisfaction and carry out a qualitative analysis of the effectiveness of these services. Using a qualitative approach, the sample consisted of 9 participants, selected from a universe of 53 individuals. Data collection techniques included bibliographic and documentary research, interviews and direct observation, while data interpretation was carried out through triangulation and content analysis. The results indicate that, despite the maternity hospital's efforts, there are deficiencies in hospital materials, qualified staff and infrastructure conditions. However, the hospital has ensured patient satisfaction through adequate and efficient care. The research suggests that the management of the Quelimane General Hospital should invest in more training for health professionals, as well as improving the infrastructure and equipment in the maternity ward, in order to guarantee better quality care and increase patient satisfaction.
