Abstract: Plants are an alternative source of insecticides, as they are a rich source of bioactive chemicals. Seeking to identify an economically and ecologically viable model, the study aimed to identify and characterize the most used vegetal inputs in the remediation and control of Dengue through a literature review in the Science Direct database. Considering the most used vegetal inputs, species with proven scientific effectiveness in the integrated vector control were found in a global scale. It is common in all analyzed contents that the use of vegetal inputs is characterized as an environmentally safe strategy because it presents less risk to the environment or human health, providing practical substitutes for synthetic insecticides. It was evidenced that most of the inputs present larvicidal activity, delaying mosquito growth or blocking its transformation into adulthood.
