Abstract: Methods of calculating the values of optimal parameters of cylindrical springs are elaborated in the paper The issues raised are presented as the tasks of non -linear mathematical programming. The stochastic method is used to show the global extremum of purpose, in particular, the random search method to find extremum. Appropriate algorithms are processed, which is realized by the algorithmic language through Visual Basic.
