Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The article, in the context of the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the period until 2027, which prioritizes five areas of transformation centered on the individual, addresses the issue of self-determination for future journalists. It emphasizes the importance of journalism students understanding a system of principles and values as a foundation for their intellectual and creative realization. Broad humanitarian education and knowledge of the literary-artistic creativity of unique masters contribute to this process. The article aims to present the results of a comparative analysis of the creative creeds of the most authoritative figures of contemporary times and the conceptual foundations of their text creation — journalistic and poetic. These texts share a common media function: to influence human self-awareness, foster education and upbringing, and impact society. To achieve this, the format of a “dialogue of approaches and positions” is proposed, specifically highlighting the conceptual and ethical aspects of journalistic activity as reflected in poetic intentions. The focus is on Lina Kostenko’s poetic texts and Boris Derevyanko’s diary entries, which reveal the system of values and fundamental principles of their work, which are undoubtedly significant for modern journalism education. The article offers an original perspective on the key tasks that need to be addressed in the teaching and nurturing of modern journalists. These include fostering students’ desire to think professionally, leading to the development of their own stance and creed, inspired by the works of authoritative masters. Additionally, it underscores the literary dimension of journalistic creativity “in the space of intertextuality,” which enhances journalists’ linguistic mastery.
