Synergetic effects of cation and anion of Mg(NO 3 ) 2 as electrolyte additives in stabilizing Li metal anode

Abstract: The magnesium nitrate (Mg(NO 3 ) 2 ) additive triggers the formation of lithiophilic Li–Mg alloy and conductive Li 3 N on Li metal surface, leading to long lifespan of Li metal anode over 3000 h under high capacity loading.
