Abstract: Background: Aging of the populations in Western and developing countries makes clinical practice challenging. Patients who are unable to fully take care of themselves due to dementia or a diagnosed Alzheimer's disease are increasingly encountered and poses particular challenges in oncoplastic procedures related to common complete self-damage of the graft, either through scratching, improper hygiene, or a lack of patient’s compliance.
