Abstract: Background: Actinic keratoses (AK) are recognized as early in-situ squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) of the skin. Various genetic mutations have been identified that contribute to the progression of AK to invasive SCC. However, molecular biological investigations remain time-consuming and costly.
