Abstract: Background: Recurrence is the most common cutaneous melanoma development among disease-free patients. Among patients with the highest risk, the probability of recurrence within 2 years from the diagnosis of a primary melanoma is nearly 50%. [Ref1] However, individual risk varies significantly, and the factors predicting recurrence have not been extensively studied. We aimed to estimate the probability of recurrence and determine the characteristics of patients who develop recurrence after a primary melanoma.
