Incidence of Melanoma in a retrospective study of 1000 dermoscopic cases

Abstract: Background: Early detection of Melanoma can be facilitated by using the dermoscopic examination. Studies reveal that a higher proportion of thinner Melanomas are being detected during skin cancer screening than previously suggested. Unfortunately most physicians in Albania do not endorse the concept of opportunistic screening of their patients. For this reason dermatologists diagnose cases of Melanoma in advanced stages.
