Abstract: Background: Current strategies for melanoma monitoring, such as imaging techniques and serum biomarkers, often lack the sensitivity required to detect early recurrences. Liquid biopsies, including the analysis of circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA), have emerged as clinically relevant strategies for non-invasive disease monitoring cancer. cfDNA fragmentomics, which investigates the fragmentation patterns of cfDNA, offers potential as a novel biomarker for tracking cancer progression ([1],[2]). This study aimed to characterize global cfDNA fragmentomics in a cohort of melanoma patients under clinical follow-up.
