Abstract: Background: Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare and aggressive neuroendocrine skin cancer with increasing global incidence. It predominantly affects elderly individuals and is associated with ultraviolet radiation exposure, immunosuppression, and Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) infection. The disease is characterized by a high risk of locoregional and systemic metastasis, leading to significant morbidity and mortality [1,2]. This study aimed to evaluate clinical and demographic characteristics, treatment modalities, and prognostic indicators in a retrospective cohort of MCC patients, contributing to a better understanding of its clinical trajectory.
