Abstract: The quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is a cryptographical approach that practices quantum mechanical properties to make entirely secured keys for safe message transmission among multiple users. Substantial advancement has been acquiring QKD models and specifications in recent years. This article systematically examines QKD models involving the diverse QKD standards, advantages, difficulties, constraints, and encounters. The article finishes with the potential scope of QKD and its probable applications.
