Abstract: Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionised cancer treatment. As their use has become more widespread though, rare toxicities have emerged. Pembrolizumab inhibits the programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) immune checkpoint and has antitumour activity in patients with advanced melanoma. Herein, we present a rare case of giant cell arteritis with an atypical presentation in a patient with stage IIIC melanoma.
