Single agent anti-PD-1 versus combined BRAF and MEK inhibitors upfront in metastatic or unresectable BRAF V600 mutated melanoma - A EUMelaReg real world evidence study
Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Background: Treatment of BRAFV600 mutated metastatic melanoma patients with either BRAF and MEK inhibitors (BRAF/MEKi) or immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) with anti-PD-1 antibodies or anti-PD-1/CTLA-4 combinations, has improved the outcome of patients significantly compared to former treatment standards. While some evidence is available for advantage of combined anti-PD-1/CTLA-4 antibody treatment compared to BRAF/MEKi, the role of single agent anti-PD-1 antibody treatment is less clear.
