Molecular mechanisms of resistance to anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) therapy in melanoma

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) targeting programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) have transformed the treatment landscape of melanoma, but responses remain highly variable. Identifying molecular factors that influence therapeutic outcomes can provide insights for improving the efficacy of PD-1-based therapies. This study aimed to examine the differential expression of immune-related genes and identify molecular signatures associated with resistance to anti-PD-1 therapy in melanoma patients.
