Widespread Vulvar Spindle-cell Melanoma: a Case Report

Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Case Report
Abstract: Background: Vulvar melanoma is the second most prevalent form of malignant tumor in this area after squamous cell carcinoma [Falcicchio G. et al 2022]. Due to its delayed diagnosis and distinctive characteristics, vulvar melanomas are inherently more challenging to treat, resulting in a significantly poorer overall survival rate of 47% compared to the 92% observed for cutaneous melanoma [Wohlmuth C. et al 2021].
