Abstract: Background: Actinic keratosis (AK) are a very common topic of consultation in private dermatology clinics. Our goal is always to reduce the number and severity of these actinic keratosis in order to prevent squamous cell carcinoma development. Several topical treatments are eligible for the treatment of AK but there are some limitations in the use of these drugs in private practice; one is the price of some of these drugs, which some patients refuse to pay when there is not public coverance of the treatment.
