Abstract: The incidence of intoxications by fungi especially by Amanitae in the district of Trenčín (Slovakia) with 170000 inhabitants during last 30 years was analysed. By the complex therapy included the high dose penicillin therapy introduced since 1971 lethality of poisoning by Amanita phalloides was reduced from 25 to 9%.
