Comportamiento Y Distribución Epidemiológica Del Moho Gris En Flores De Rosas En La Ciudad De Acobamba Durante 2024
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The study was conducted in the province of Acobamba, Huancavelica department, in rose plantations. The objectives of the study were: Evaluate the behavior and epidemiological distribution of gray mold (Botrytis sp.) in three varieties of roses, validate the theoretical and practical ordinal severity scales of the disease, determine the intensity of the disease by measuring the percentage of severity and Area Under the Disease Progress Curve. (AUDPC). Eighteen rose plants were evaluated, selected through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. All flowers of the three varieties were marked and the intensity of the disease was evaluated using a validated diagrammatic scale (theoretical scale), as well as a scale developed in the field (practical scale). The results show a strong positive correlation, indicating that the practical scale is closely aligned with the theoretical scale in the three rose varieties. The maximum severity on the practical scale was 50.9% for the red variety, 69.4% for the pink, and 65.6% for the fuchsia. The maximum AUDPC value on the practical scale was 101.5 at 32 days for the red variety, 135.6 at 36 days for the pink variety, and 131.2 at 38 days for the fuchsia variety. The pink variety turned out to be the most susceptible to the disease, followed by the fuchsia variety (AUDPC of 131.2 at 38 days) and the red variety (AUDPC of 101.5 at 32 days).
