Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Background: This study explores the attitudes of nurse anesthesia students and CRNA faculty toward the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in anesthesia education. Method: A cross-sectional survey design was utilized, collecting data from 455 students and 58 faculty members from six participating U.S. universities. The Attitudes Toward AI scale was used to measure responses. Results: Faculty showed higher familiarity and optimism toward AI compared to students. Significant differences were noted in AI usage and positive attitudes between the two groups. Conclusion: The findings indicate a need for AI literacy programs in CRNA curricula to bridge the knowledge gap and align with technological advancements.
