Abstract: The growth in the volume and complexity of digital data leads to the need to develop effective methods for their analysis and processing, especially in the context of information security tasks. This article presents a comprehensive approach to solving key problems in digital analysis, including automating data collection, restoring the sequence of events, and minimizing the risk of information loss. The focus is on the stages of data preparation: selecting target parameters, structuring information and ensuring compatibility of formats for further analysis. The presented methods and approaches are aimed at identifying critical artifacts, tracking user activity and analyzing changes in the file system. The importance of preliminary data preparation is especially emphasized, which includes setting up storage facilities and choosing tools that meet modern security standards. The article also discusses key limitations such as incompatible data formats and volumes of information that require optimized solutions. The results of the study demonstrate that the proposed methods improve the accuracy, reliability and speed of analysis. The recommendations presented for eliminating identified problems emphasize the importance of a systematic approach and its adaptability to the dynamically changing conditions of the digital environment.
