Abstract: In light of the assessment of the socio-demographic impact of deforestation in Kahuzi-Biega National Park and its surroundings in Kabare chiefdom in South Kivu (DR Congo), this study contributed by highlighting the actors, informal exploiters of forest ecosystems in this area (park and chiefdom). 59.8% of the population of Kabare chiefdom is concentrated around the park where it exerts informally, a strong pressure on forest formations; through the anthropogenic activities of deforestation.
