Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and the Internet of Things (IOT): Designing Interactive Smart Devices
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This research paper explores the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), focusing on the design of interactive smart devices. As IoT technology becomes increasingly prevalent, understanding how users interact with and experience these devices is crucial. The paper investigates key HCI principles applied to the design of IoT devices, examining usability, context-awareness, multi-modal interaction, and privacy concerns. By reviewing emerging trends and challenges, this study provides insights into how to design IoT devices that offer seamless, intuitive, and user-centered experiences.
