Abstract: The study was to explore the effects of different lipid levels on juvenile hybrid snakehead (Channa maculata♀×Channa argus♂).Therefore, for a 63-day aquaculture experiment. The results showed that: When the dietary lipid levels were between 4.70% to 10.35%, the weight gain rate , specific growth rate, and protein efficiency ratio of juvenile hybrid snakehead significantly increased, while the feed conversion ratio significantly decreased (P<0.05). The visceral to-condition factor, and Visceral index of fish showed an upward trend. The crude lipid of juvenile hybrid snakehead significantly increased, while their crude protein and moisture showed the opposite change(P<0.05). The levels of plasma cholesterol and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol increased with the increase in feed fat content. The alanine aminotransferase in the L14 and L12 groups were significantly higher than those in the L4, L6, and L8 groups, and the glutathione peroxidase of the L12 group was significantly higher than that of the other groups (P<0.05). Furthermore, the expression levels of the mammalian target of rapamycin and acetyl-CoA carboxylase genes in the liver showed an initial decrease followed by an increase, while peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α showed the opposite phenomenon(P<0.05). The expression levels of inhibitory subunit of nuclear factor-kappa B alpha in the L4 and L10 groups were higher than those in the L14 group, while the relative expression levels of tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-8 in the L6 group were significantly lower than those in the L4 group, and the interleukin-10 showed the opposite change(P<0.05). The relative expression level of the interleukin-1β gene in the L6 group was significantly higher than that in the L12 group (P<0.05). In summary, considering the overall situation, the optimal dietary lipid requirements for juvenile hybrid snakehead was 10.17% ~ 11.79%.
