Abstract: Climate change is altering the structure and function of different ecosystems around the globe, with agricultural ecosystems being more responsive to climate change. And food production in agricultural ecosystems, for example, is closely linked to plant-insect interactions. In the context of global climate change, rising carbon dioxide concentrations and increasing temperatures are altering plant-insect interactions. In this paper, we summarise the progress of research in the field of plant-insect interactions in agricultural ecosystems on the impacts of two major factors, namely, climate warming and elevated carbon dioxide concentrations, and discuss the direction of future research.
