Study on the Spatial Form and Development Strategy of Fengzhou Ancient City from the Perspective of Folk Beliefs

Abstract: Folk beliefs in southern Fujian are spread in urban and rural societies, and in a sense, they have become an integral part of the daily life style and social order rules of the people in southern Fujian, which cannot be ignored. In this paper, Fengzhou Ancient Town, Nan'an City, Quanzhou City, is selected as a case study, and from the perspective of folk beliefs, we discuss the spatial pattern of the ancient town from the aspects of boundary definition and community integration, and then put forward the development strategy of Fengzhou Ancient Town, in order to contribute to the preservation and development of the folk beliefs in the ancient town.
