Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The objective of this study is to elucidate the living inheritance of the cultural genes of Yunnan folk houses and interior design, with a view to continuing, expanding and improving the indoor space environment of 'One Seal' folk houses and achieving the goal of sustainable development. This study takes the interior design of 'One Seal' houses as its object of research, beginning with the basic theories of history, ethnology, design and architectural typology. It then conducts an in-depth investigation into the interior design of 'One Seal' houses and their cultural genes. Ultimately, the study proposes a cultural gene map and an inheritance protection design strategy tailored to folk houses. This approach offers a more comprehensive, systematic, and rational methodological framework for the evolution of interior design in Yunnan folk houses, providing valuable insights and guidance for future development.
