The Impact of Digital Transformation on the High-Quality Development of Logistics Companies

Abstract: In recent years, logistics companies have actively adopted advanced technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. However, whether logistics companies can leverage digital technologies to truly achieve high-quality development remains underexplored. To clarify the impact of digital technology application on the high-quality development of logistics companies and its underlying mechanisms, this study conducts an empirical analysis using data from 151 logistics companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2008 to 2023. The findings indicate that the application of digital technologies positively promotes the high-quality development of logistics companies. Further, through an examination of the mechanisms, it is found that digital technology can reduce management costs, which in turn has a positive impact on corporate development. This study provides theoretical and empirical support for the digital transformation of logistics companies and offers insights into how logistics companies can achieve high-quality development.
