Abstract: Taking 284 prefecture-level cities in China as samples from 2011 to 2019, this paper examines the impact of the digital economy on industrial collaborative agglomeration. It is found that the digital economy significantly promotes industrial collaborative agglomeration. There are paths of promotion and inhibition for the digital economy to affect the industrial collaborative agglomeration. Besides, the positive effect of promoting innovative collaboration is greater than the negative effect of inhibiting marketization. The final net effect is that the digital economy boosts industrial collaborative agglomeration. The conclusion is that improving the systems of the digital economy, guiding the government to participate in the market, and standardizing the government intervention in the market are vital to increasing industrial collaborative agglomeration.
