Abstract: BIM refers to the process of dynamically creating, collecting, storing and managing information in the whole life cycle of a building. Its data based construction method and management concept have been highly praised by industry insiders and highly valued by the government, and have been widely promoted and applied. This paper gives a simple overview of the generation and importance of BIM information in construction projects, analyzes and lists the reasons for the inefficiency of BIM information application in construction projects, and starts with customizing BIM information standard library and developing BIM information processing tool set to achieve the purpose of efficiently extracting and summarizing BIM information. It provides a powerful bridge connection function for the application of digital construction technology from the large model end to the large platform end of the construction project, provides a method of data extraction and summary that can be used for reference, and lays a foundation for BIM technology to play its advantages of multi discipline collaborative data interchange.
