Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the dynamics of a complex of relative efficiency indicators for the operation of socially oriented non-profit organizations in the regions of the Southern Federal District. The purpose of the study is to assess the effectiveness of the work of socially oriented non-profit organizations and identify problems hindering their full development. The working hypothesis is that asymmetry in the distribution of resources between the regions of the Southern Federal District affects the ability of socially oriented non-profit organizations to meet the needs of the population. The study is based on the analysis of the dynamics of a complex of relative efficiency indicators for the operation of socially oriented non-profit organizations. An original methodology has been proposed for evaluating the integral indicator of the level of development of the non-profit sector in the region, which includes calculating an integrated value from eight relative indicators. The conducted analysis revealed a significant asymmetry in the distribution of resources between the regions of the Southern Federal District. The results obtained can be used to develop a new model for managing the activities of socially oriented non-profit organizations, taking into account the population's need for social services and assistance. Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that there is a need to form a new model for managing the activities of socially oriented non-profit organizations, assuming the unification of managerial processes through the transfer of powers to a special organization integrator.
