Abstract: In recent years, Uzbekistan has made significant progress in reducing poverty. However, a more effective fiscal strategy is needed to further improve the situation. Analysis of the current situation: poverty, tax system, social expenditures Uzbekistan has implemented a number of reforms in the field of taxation and socialbenefits. However, the system remains less progressive than in developed countries, and the share of social spending relative to GDP remains moderate.
