L-isoleucine doped Creatininium Benzene Sulphonate organic single crystals: Insight into charge carrier dynamics and sensor applications
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: • Creatininium Benzene Sulphonate (CBS) and l -Isoleucine doped CBS (ICBS) were grown via slow evaporation, confirming a monoclinic P2₁ space group through XRD and FTIR. • SHG and laser damage threshold (LDT) studies demonstrated significantly improved frequency conversion efficiency and high-power laser robustness in doped crystals. • Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) indicated increased charge transfer resistance and reduced leakage currents, suggesting higher durability and stability. • The Eyring transmission coefficient, derived via the Coats-Redfern method, confirmed that doping enhances charge mobility and overall material stability. Creatininium Benzene Sulphonate (CBS) and l -Isoleucine doped CBS (ICBS0.5 and ICBS2) single crystals were synthesized via the slow evaporation method and structurally characterized, confirming a P 2 ₁ space group. This study explores their potential for optoelectronic applications, emphasizing structural, optical, Thermal and electrochemical stability. Doping enhances optical conductivity, nonlinear optical performance and dielectric properties, ensuring stability for optical modulators and high-power laser applications. The electrochemical analysis of ICBS0.5 and ICBS2 reveals a reduction in quantum capacitance and leakage currents while enhancing the density of states for charge transport, making these materials highly suitable for sensor technology applications.. The study underscores the role of charge transfer dynamics in optimizing nonlinear optical materials for photonic integrated circuits, biosensors, and energy-efficient optoelectronic devices through quantum tunnelling confirmed by Eyring Transmission co-efficient using TG/DTA and Cyclic voltammetry datas. Quantum effect Coupled with strong nonlinear optical stability such as improved SHG and high LDT after doping, it serves as a valuable candidate for optical robustness applications.
