Abstract: Cost control has an important impact on improving the economic benefits of electric power construction enterprises. Taking the QXZX project of SD Company as a case, cost control of the 500kV transmission line during the construction stage is studied in this paper. Firstly, we conduct a detailed analysis of the cost structure during the construction phase of the QXZX project, and identify the components of the costs for this phase of the project. Secondly, we analyze the impact level and the potential for cost reduction for each cost component from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives. Subsequently, we apply the superiority chart to evaluate the importance and potential for cost reduction of each cost component, and provide a priority ranking. Finally, we propose relevant cost control measures for key cost components to reduce project cost expenditures.
