Abstract: Nitrate and nitrite play an important role in the nitrogen cycle, but they are also known pollutants in aquatic ecosystem. Accurate, timely and efficient assessment of exposure to nitrate/nitrite in water is of great significance for improving water quality and exploring long-term adverse factors affecting human health. This paper reviews the diffusion mechanism of nitrate/nitrite components in water pollutants and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and schemes, which provides scientific guidance for the prevention and control of sudden water pollution events.
