Air Pollution, Digital Infrastructure, and Educational Equity

Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: The study constructs a fixed effects regression model to assess the relationship between education and air pollution. The findings indicate that higher urban air pollution levels significantly reduce educational equity. In heavily polluted environments, students experience cognitive development setbacks, increased absenteeism, and exacerbated inequalities in educational opportunities and outcomes. Digital Infrastructure has intensified these adverse effects in heavily polluted cities.
