Abstract: Article is devoted to reviewing of institute of an extradition, as parts of themechanism of the international counteraction of crime. The analysis of regulatory base of thiscomplex legal institute is made. Activities of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the RussianFederation as competent authority and Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation, asexecutive body concerning an extradition are considered. The order of interaction of the aboveorgans is considered. The conclusion that counteraction of crime is impossible without compre-hensive communication of law enforcement and other agencies as within the country, and in aninterstate format is drawn.
