Abstract: The curriculum of Law Enforcement University needs to be developed taking into accountsuch factors as current policies on legal reform, crime trends, and criminological situation and prognosis ofthe country.Though Mongolia has lower level of illegal drug use in the world, there are certain factors thatmight increase the level in the future. The knowledge and skills of law enforcement staff will certainly playan important role in combatting illegal drug consumption and drug-related crimes. Therefore, as one of themajor universities which train and develop law enforcement staff in Mongolia, Law Enforcement Universityis required to integrate the course on “Methods and techniques for combatting illegal drug use and drug-re-lated crimes” into its curriculum and start educating teaching staff and developing teaching materials of thecourse.
