Abstract: This short review summarises the knowledge on the determination of organoarsenic compounds.A number of organoarsenic compounds are present in environmental and biological samples andindividual determination of these arsenic species is necessary due to their varying toxicity,biochemical and environmental behaviour. Different analytical methods are used, depending on thematrix and form of arsenic. The most commonly used techniques for the determination oforganoarsenic compounds include chromatographic separation with spectrometric detection. Thisreview provides an overview of developments and trends in the instrumental analysis of organoarseniccompounds. Typical experimental approaches for sample pretreatment, extraction and separationare discussed.
