Abstract: The research explores the field of artificial intelligence (AI) with an emphasis on its applications and discusses the opportunities, challenges and future directions of its use.Through comprehensive literature review, employing secondary data form of academic journals, books and web resources, this research analyses the various implications of AI on society.It finds that although AI holds immense scope for economic growth, enhanced healthcare, individualized education and enhanced social interaction, it also has ethical, privacy and fairness issues.The research highlights the need for responsible growth and deployment of AI technology based on human values and wellbeing.It encourages cooperation among researchers, policymakers and industry stakeholders to leverage the benefits of AI while reducing risks through ethical considerations, transparency and privacy rights.
